Mr Jan Richards guides you through the DECCA jungle!

Hello and welcome to my ventures into the fantastic world of Rolling Stones and their vinyl records
manufactured in England by THE DECCA RECORD COMPANY way back in the 60’s.

I have been collecting Stones vinyls since the mid 80’s and through the years I have come to realise that there is not just one
version existing of Out Of Our Heads
, but a lot of them. First I got one with a red label. A while after that I found another one,
but this had a, blue label? Ah, Mono and Stereo! Then I noticed that the red one had a large DECCA text and the blue one had
a smaller DECCA that was kind of in a box. Well, the rest is history as they say.

I have for years been looking around on the net for more information on what actually is
existing and what you should look for. But I did not really find anyting
so I decided to do it myself here on our Nordic Stones Vikings homepage.

On these pages I go through all LP's issued during their DECCA era, both new LP's from the 60's and
compilation LP's from the 70's. The key word here is Manufactured in England by DECCA.
You will find both DECCA and London records presented. The London LP's are only the ones made in England.
London Records did have some of their records pressed by Decca in UK for US domestic market and for export to Japan.

You will find detailed information on sleeves, vinyls and labels. This will help you in dating your own vinyls.
There  is also a big difference in value for a first original print and later reprints. I have not indicated any values and will not
comment on the value of these records. I always say that the value of an item is what you are ready to pay for it.

Most of the material presented here is from my own collection. Some pictures have been supplied by fellow collectors
and some pictures are nicked from e-bay

One important thing still to remember. The information you will find here is based on my own findings and
 I cannot guarantee that all
of it is 100% accurate. There will always be issues that I do not know about
and so on, new versions being found etc. So, if you find any wrong information here or if you have additions,
please do get in touch with me. Whatever comments you have are always welcome. Well, enjoy

And by the way, there are a few collectors out there that has helped me with information and pictures.
Especially I would like to thank
