Juha Kakkuri

I was born at the 12th of June 1962 in Helsinki, Finland. My family is wife Riikka and son Joonatan (born 2001).
I work as a programme director and a morning DJ at a radiostation here in Helsinki. Because of my work I have interviewed Keith, Mick T, Ronnie, Bill and Charlie. I also attended the Voodoo Lounge pressconference in Stockholm 95.
Because I was allowed to ask a question ("Have you changed the setlist for
Europe") and Mick (and Keith) replied I can add him to the "I have interviewd list".

I became a Stones fan in 1975. I was sick and didn´t got to school. While lying in my bed I read a Finnish pop magazine called "Suosikki". In that issue they started a three part Rolling Stones story. While reading I realized that these guys are cool .I was a nerd then (according to my wife I still am...) and the Stones seemed like a perfect role modell (!?!?). After reading I decided to check the music too. I had the IORR album and it sounded great. Also that same day (!) Finnish radio had a one hour Stones programme which made me 100% sure that the Stones are the greatest.. I told my mother that I have a new favourite band and because I was ill she wanted to make me feel better (and succeeded) by going to a record store where from she bought me Exile...

I saw my first Stones concert in 1982 in Basel. I had a ticket to Gothenburg but couldn´t make it. Luckily Basel fitted my schedule and I also managed to get a ticket to that concert. So far (before Boston05) I have seen the Stones 75 times and apart from experiencing unforgettable concerts I have made friends with fans from all over the world.

My all time favourite Stones album is Goat´s Head Soup. Apart from the Stones my other hobby is (fly)fishing. Salmon, seatrout and brown trout are the fish I fish most often.
