Born 1958 in Mörsil, Jämtland, Sweden,
were I still live.
I am married and have a daughter, whom I try to raise in the true spirit,
wich means I took her to some Stonesconcerts.
Earlier in my life I used to work in construction, but I made careerchange
in 1988, and I now work as a programmer doing cobolcode for one
of Sweden
biggest insurancecompanies.Music was an early influence in my life. as early as the age of 6, I got
totally lost in music, I saw
The Beatles on TV, and I used to run around
singin "She Loves You, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!"
I spent almost every saturday listening to the TopTen on the radio, and
there was always something I liked, but it took a
couple of year before I
got stuck on the Stones.
A memory from back then is a poster I had on my wall with the Stones in
their vests!
Another memory from that time is a buddy of mine, and me, were playing with
toycars, we could be around 10 years old, ca 1968,
and my buddy had all
these singles. And I forced him to play "As Tears Go By", wich I thought was
the best thing I ever heard!
From that time and onwards, the Stones has always been a part of my life,
but it was´nt until ca 1972 that I bought my first
Stonesrecord...and it was
Sticky Fingers, wich I till this day still think is the best studioalbum the
Stones ever did.
My collecting, altough never really serious, started 1976 when I started
working and had money of my own to spend on records,
mostly bootlegs (wich I
had recently discovered!).
During a few years from that time, on every party we would play those
bootlegs at earshattering volume, dreaming of seeing the Stones live.
It should have become a reality in the form of Knebworth 1976, but
familybusiness got in the way...
I have visited the Knebworthfestival two
times, 1975, when I saw Pink Floyd, and 1979 to see The New Barbarians,
but
they cancelled, so I had to settle for Led Zeppelin.
The dream finally came true in Gothenburg 1982, and since then more dreams
came true, among them seeing a clubgig.

The first thing I learned on guitar was
the riff from Satisfaction on one string.
More than 40 years have passed since then and I've unfortunately not
learned any more.....

I met the best
guitarplayer in the world twice, Mick TaylorStanding by the
catwalk at Stockholm Stadion 2003, I got to shake hands with Mick, Keith,
Ronnie and Daryl.
At Eriksberg 1990, I
was hit by one of Charlies drumsticks, it hit my hand, but as I was taking
pictures I did´nt get what just happened until a "riot" broke on the ground.
One happy, smiling guy refused to sell it to me......
I got a pick at the
Globe Arena 2003
I got a genuine
golddisc that the other NSV members would really like to have :)
During the
b-stagesongs at Ullevi 1998 concert someone (no names) said he was
willing to pay a million for a shot of whisky. So i took my small bottle of
Talisker and offered him. I have not seen any money yet, but I bet he is
saving up
As I said earlier, I
never taken my collecting really serious, but I will post a list here.
I will also share some favorite concertmemories, favorite songs etc.
I´ve gotten many nice Stonesfriends
through the years. Most of this wonderful bunch (NSV) I got to know during
"The Stockholm Trilogy" 2003, except for one guy who still owns me money for
some whisky:)
Someone said about us "It´s not enough
that you are Stonesfreaks, you are all the same, crazy to the core!"
But there are other Stonesfriends out
there, besides NSV, that are worth mentioning:
Jan-Eric, Mats, who many
of owe a great deal! |
