Hello there ! Here’s some words from another oldtimer !!

Tommy Palmqvist, alias ”Rollingtom” born Nov 12 1950, I’m living in Mjölby with my wife Helena and one of our two daughters Linn,
the other girl  Johanna is on the move and for the moment working in Stockholm.

With me is also my best friend Herman the dog, always HAPPY !

How it all began... 

One day 1964 a friend of mine got a record from his brother who had been to UK - FIVE BY FIVE - I was ”All sold out ” never heard anything like that.  You know ! 14 years old and no money, what to do ? I made a try for a radio show I think it was called ” Radioapparaten ” but I’m not sure, anyway I sent a letter telling  Kersti Adams-Ray  that I loved the Stones and I wanna hear them play If You Need Me , the program was sent on my birthday, What a gift ! She played my song and than the record was sent to me, my first Rolling Stones item. Thank you SR.

A few years later 1967, don’t remember how, but I got a ticket for a Stones concert in Örebro  - me and some friends went there by train, I was only sixteen but I loved them so.. The show ended up in chaos, but what a memory.

After that I have seen all Stones shows in Sweden and I feel like it’s getting better and better shows all the time but it’s not the same feeling, now days it’s more like a  giant Circus, but after all It’s only rock’n roll and I like it.

The Urban Jungle tour was coming to Göteborg and I booked Hotel rooms at Sheraton for me my wife and some friends. Our room was in the same corridor as Keith Richards and Ron Wood . First I met Ron and said hello and ask him to sign a record I had in my pocket - he said no problem and signed it. We went to the elevators going down to the bar - I pushed the button and the doors went up: Inside the elevator was Mick Jagger - Charlie Watts and some body gards, me anda guy jumped in and Mick said that this was bad security - but he smiled - I told him that I have been waiting for this moment for thirty years and asked him to sign a record, Shit - my pen didn’t work but Mick took the other guys pen and signed my record but that was all no more he said and Charlie just smiled - the doors went up and the body gards pushed us back in to the elevator.  There is more to tell but it’s another story.
